This Privacy Policy explains how SongClip ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app.

Information We Collect

We collect information needed to operate the app, process song and video generation, deliver results, and improve reliability.

• Song prompts and generation settings, including descriptions, lyrics, vocal or instrumental choices, language, style, duration, tempo, and related options you provide
• Photos or images you upload for video generation, when you choose to create a video clip
• Prepared audio clips used for video generation, including selected excerpts from generated songs
• Generated outputs, including AI songs, audio files, video clips, and related thumbnails or metadata while processing and delivering results
• Anonymous app or install identifiers stored securely on your device and used for app functionality such as continuity, credits, and generation-related records
• Authentication-related identifiers, including anonymous or technical account identifiers used to operate backend services
• App usage analytics (for example, via Firebase Analytics)
• Crash and diagnostic data (for example, via Firebase Crashlytics)
• Purchase-related events for consumable credits, but not your full payment card data
• Push notification tokens if you allow notifications

Anonymous Identifier and Backend Access

SongClip may generate and store an anonymous app install identifier on your device to support core functionality.

We may also use backend authentication or technical account identifiers, including anonymous authentication, to securely operate app services such as generation requests, credits, projects, history, and result delivery.

These identifiers are used for app functionality and service continuity. They are not used for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Process AI song and video generation requests you start
• Upload selected inputs and deliver generated songs or video clips
• Maintain app functionality such as credits, projects, history, and generation-related records
• Operate and improve app performance, stability, and reliability
• Detect crashes, bugs, fraud, abuse, and service issues
• Support consumable credit purchases and credit reconciliation for failed generations when applicable
• Send optional notifications such as generation completion or failure updates

Song and Video Generation

When you enter a song prompt, lyrics, style choices, or other generation settings and start generation, that information is transmitted to our backend infrastructure and service providers to process your request.

When you create a video clip, uploaded images and prepared audio excerpts may also be transmitted to our backend infrastructure and service providers to generate and deliver the video result.

Generated outputs and related metadata may be stored or processed to complete generation, support your projects or history, and deliver the result to your device.

SongClip is not intended to function as an unlimited permanent cloud storage service. However, generation records, source files, prepared inputs, generated audio, generated video, and outputs may be retained for a period of time as needed to operate the app, support history, investigate failures, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate the app, including infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, storage, messaging, generation processing, and payment processing.

• Firebase Authentication for backend access and service identity
• Firebase Firestore for generation-related records and app data
• Firebase Storage for uploaded media and generated outputs
• Firebase Analytics for usage analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and diagnostics
• Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification Services for optional notifications
• RunPod and cloud processing providers used to generate AI songs, process video clips, and deliver results
• Apple App Store / In-App Purchases for consumable credit purchases

These providers may process technical information necessary to provide their services, such as device information, app version, request metadata, diagnostic data, uploaded generation inputs, generated outputs, and identifiers needed for delivery or security.

Tracking and Advertising

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs and do not track you across apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Any identifiers used by SongClip are used for app functionality, service operation, security, analytics, diagnostics, purchase verification, and result delivery, not for cross-app advertising tracking.

In-App Purchases (Consumable Credits)

SongClip offers consumable credit purchases. Credits can be used for AI song and video generation. Purchases are processed securely by Apple using your Apple ID.

We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

We may receive transaction-related information needed to validate purchases, grant credits, prevent fraud, and support customer issues.

Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, SongClip may collect and process push notification identifiers, such as APNs and/or Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, to send app notifications.

• Song generation completed
• Song generation failed
• Video generation completed
• Video generation failed
• Important service-related alerts

Notification identifiers may be associated with your app instance or backend identity so notifications can be delivered to the correct device.

You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to operate the app, complete requested processing, maintain security, support history and purchases, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Uploaded images, prepared audio clips, generated songs, generated videos, and related outputs may be retained temporarily or for a limited operational period depending on app functionality, storage practices, and service needs.

Analytics and crash diagnostics may be retained by our service providers according to their own settings and policies.

Your Choices

• You can choose whether to enter prompts, lyrics, and generation settings
• You can choose whether to upload images for video generation
• You can manage camera, photo library, and notification permissions in iOS Settings
• You can delete generation-related content inside the app where deletion controls are available
• You can stop using the app at any time
• You can contact us with privacy questions or requests using the email below

If you want to make a privacy-related request, contact us and we will review your request in accordance with applicable law.

Children's Privacy

SongClip is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us and we will review and address the issue.

International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, depending on where we and our service providers operate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed by the app. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
